Even being unique has become commodified in the music industry today. Many bands such as the Jonas Brothers have infused young boy charm with smiles that make you wish you could deconstruct your face and have theirs. A unique alternative from the tantalizingly twinkly stars of today. Yet how can they be different when they were wrought from the machine we call the music industry. Listening to them is more like a frothy strawberry milkshake that is so sweet you can just feel that sugary coating eating away at your teeth. Thoughts like these are luscious yet unbearably murderous when you consider the thousands of fans that would attack you if these words were every spoken in public. These tween girls live in this utopia in which these three boys are their god in this land filled with sappy love songs and way too tight jeans. These girls are simply looking through rose coloured glasses while living in a spastic stupor of disbelief in their genuine love of the Jonas brothers. These girls should learn to forge a brand new identity of their own instead of fallowing the masses as society seems to teach them too. Its absolute absurdity for these girls to fall head-over-heels in love with nothing more then a media product. So clearly in this world of a musical depression we will have to just sit back and wait for this time to pass, for perhaps some real uniqueness to take the world over by storm.
